Technical UI Designer Internship (LIA)
We are looking for a curious and ambitious Technical UI Designer Intern who wants to develop their skills together with us!
Information About Internship
This is an unpaid internship intended to last 6-9 months, depending on your institution's rules and stipulations. The start date is flexible, reliant on the time period of your institution's educational job training period (Sw. "LIA") and how it matches FRAME BREAK's availability.
The internship is not intended to lead into a job offer. The primary goal is to give up-and-coming games students the opportunity to gain industry experience.

As a Technical UI Designer Intern, you will learn to design and implement functional and stylish UI elements and animations, in accordance with FRAME BREAK's work processes. You will improve your skills in digital art programs to produce UI artwork, and Unreal Engine Blueprints to implement their functionality.
To help you develop your skills, you will be supervised by our Lead Technical UI Designer and learn to collaborate with the rest of the FRAME BREAK team.
As part of FRAME BREAK, you will participate in our collaborative process. This means you will be able to share ideas and input with every department and receive feedback from them in return. In addition, you will get to participate in playtests and meetings and influence the trajectory of our games’ development.
The main workplace is our office in Skövde. We do not offer relocation assistance for the internship .

Requirements
If you lack the exact experience listed below but have done something comparable, we'll still take a look at your application!

Must be currently enrolled at a Swedish university or institution that has an educational job training period as part of your studies (LIA)
- Some experience developing games in a group (could be hobby or student project)
- Some experience with contemporary game engines such as Unreal Engine
- Fluent communication in English
Useful Experience
The internship includes some of the following areas, so any prior experience is useful but not required.
- Experience using Unreal Engine Blueprints
- Experience designing or implementing game UI (could be hobby or student project)
- Experience animating UI elements in Unreal Engine
- Experience using 2D graphic design software such as Inkscape, Adobe XD, or Adobe Illustrator

About FRAME BREAK

FRAME BREAK was founded in 2020 by a trio of graduates from the game development program at Skövde University. In early 2021, we were acquired by Amplifier Game Invest, part of Embracer Group, and brought into their creative ecosystem, giving us the resources and experience necessary to take our games to the next level.
